There are many scents wafting through the air at the Wildwood Farmers Market. Wine, flowers, bacon(!) and a whole lot more. One of my favorites comes from the blue eden booth (more on that later).
blue eden came to be in 2013 when the first store was opened in Avalon (since lost to Hurricane Sandy, unfortunately). The company’s origins began in 1997 when Caroline Ann Ranoia decided to learn how to make soap after watching her grandmother make it for many years all with simple ingredients – Olive Oil, Water and Lye. From the beginning it was a process that Caroline loved and had joy making. She opened the blue eden stores in Ocean City and Stone Harbor and expanded into more all natural products. Caroline is constantly upgrading her skills and offering new products. All are heavenly scented!
All Natural Using Only Essential Oils
blue eden uses only essential oils, which have been shown positively affect physical, emotional and mental health. Many store-bought soaps and lotions contain artificially created fragrance oils, which smell similar but do not reproduce the healthful benefits found in essential oils.
Take home the Wildwood beach
My favorite item in Caroline’s collection was Beach. She describes it as such: “Beach. Its brings back memories of summer filled with notes of vanilla, honeysuckle, sweet orange and jasmine plus one secret ingredient that no one will know.” I was skeptical at first, but she sprayed a bit (on herself, me being a manly-man and all), and lo and behold the scent reminded be of the Wildwood beach (only the good parts)! The scent was quite subtle and not at all overpowering. Caroline notes that Beach is their #1 best-selling product.
