Steely Dan Tribute Band Plays Wildwood Realin' in the Years with Countdown to Ecstasy!

Countdown to Ecstasy

Countdown to Ecstasy

First, I want to thank our mayor and other folks involved in setting up the Fox Park Wildwood Concert Series. Job well done! Every concert so far has been a blast, and the entertainment top-class. Oh, and the admission is free. Yes, free. Whether you are a local or down on vacation you owe it to yourself to get down to Fox Park in Wildwood Saturday night at 7:30 to catch one of these most excellent free concerts.

Countdown to Ecstasy

Countdown to Ecstasy’s sound was hauntingly nostalgic and nearly indiscernible from the real thing. I’m not sure a Steely Dan concert would be much better (OK, probably a little better)! The attached video does no justice the awesome sound of this band. Lead singer Matt Sevier sounded just like Donald Fagen, and lead guitarist Jon Mernyk did Walter Becker proud.

Fox Park Venue

Fox Park in Wildwood, NJ is a baseball field most of the time. Other times it plays host to live music and other organized events. You’ll also find a replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall there. You’ll want to bring a blanket or some beach chairs when you come, unless you don’t mind grass stains. There’s usually plenty of room, but arrive early if you want a front-row seat.

Upcoming Fox Park Concert Series Schedule

If you want to hear some great live music under the Wildwood sky, check out the upcoming event schedule for the Wildwood Fox Park Concert Series.
