'War at the Jersey Shore' National Youth Wrestling Championships

The Atlantic Coast Wrestling Association will host this annual event featuring National Folkstyle Wrestling Championships with more than 2,000 wrestlers representing over 20 states. The 'War' features a youth tournament with over 50 weight classes spread across 5 age divisions, and a High School Division with 16 weight classes. A girls division, K-12, will also be featured. Spectators and racers alike will experience a simpler time of when guys were gentlemen and cars were king! Over 100 vintage auto (pre-1934) and motorcycles (pre-1947) ~ including Indian, Harley Davidson, Excelcior, Ford, Dodge Brothers and more ~ will compete in an exhibition style beach race at the water's edge between Schellenger and Spicer Avenues in Wildwood. Friday will feature The Night of the Troglodytes, a rollicking chopper party set around the area where the weekends race vehicles are on display for the delight of the crowd. Saturday gates open at 9 a.m. and will feature vintage auto and motorcycle races from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. with live rock 'n roll all day. A bonfire and beach party will take place on Saturday night from 7 p.m. until midnight, with live rock 'n roll music. The Wildwood Beer Fest is a beer tasting event to celebrate the art of locally brewed craft beer. Located in Fox Park, on Ocean Avenue between E. Burk and E. The Beach Day incorporates safe, guarded ocean play time for the children and families of 21 Down, as well as opportunities for interaction and educational opportunities with seasoned inlet lifeguards as they discuss beach safety with attendees. Lighthouse Challenge of New Jersey

Start at Hereford Inlet Lighthouse then visit New Jersey's historic lighthouses and select affiliated museums all weekend. 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.; rain or shine. Visitors will enjoy the opportunity to tour the state and visit participating land-based lighthouses, 2 museums, and 2 life-saving stations over the weekend, as well as help raise funds for continued lighthouse preservation, education and restoration. Participants are encouraged to dress in festive holiday outfits. The race route will run south on the Wildwoods Boardwalk to Cresse Avenue, make a turn around and head north to 21st Street. Runners and walkers along with their cheering sections can then enjoy the Holiday Bazaar held inside the Convention Center.
