'The Race of Gentlemen' Vintage Car & Motorcycle Beach Drag Races

Spectators and racers alike will experience a simpler time of when guys were gentlemen and cars were king! Over 100 vintage auto (pre-1934) and motorcycles (pre-1947) ~ including Indian, Harley Davidson, Excelcior, Ford, Dodge Brothers and more ~ will compete in an exhibition style beach race at the water's edge between Schellenger and Spicer Avenues in Wildwood. Friday will feature The Night of the Troglodytes, a rollicking chopper party set around the area where the weekends race vehicles are on display for the delight of the crowd. Saturday gates open at 9 a.m. and will feature vintage auto and motorcycle races from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. with live rock 'n roll all day. A bonfire and beach party will take place on Saturday night from 7 p.m. until midnight, with live rock 'n roll music. The Wildwood Beer Fest is a beer tasting event to celebrate the art of locally brewed craft beer. Located in Fox Park, on Ocean Avenue between E. Burk and E. Montgomery Avenues, this festival will be equally exciting for the brew aficionado and novice alike! A ticket into this event grants you access to 100+ brews, a commemorative tasting cup, live tunes, delicious food and craft vendors. Fourth of July Beach 'n Boardwalk Patriotic Run/Walk

Wildwoods Convention Center. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Race starts at 9 a.m. The 5K Fun Run will begin at the Wildwoods Sign and travel North to the Wildwoods Convention Center and then down the boardwalk extension to the beach. The route will run South and continue on the hard packed sand to Primrose Avenue in Wildwood Crest, looping back to the Wildwoods Convention Center for the completion of the race. The 1 Mile Walk will go down the Wildwoods Boardwalk to Cresse Avenue and back to the Wildwoods Convention Center. Medals will be presented to the top 5 male and the top 5 female finishers. Moreys Piers is happy to conduct one of the only FootGolf sand tournaments in the U.S.! Held on the beautiful beaches of Wildwood between Schellenger and Spencer Avenues, FootGolf is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, combining the two popular sports of soccer and golf. The main goal of FootGolf is to kick a soccer ball into a hole with the fewest number of kicks possible. Battle on the Beach Flag Football Tournament

This awesome summer Jersey Shore beach event features 5 v 5 beach flag football for both boys and girls 5 17 years old. The Globetrotters are offering a 2-hour Basketball Skills Clinic at the Wildwoods Convention Center from 10 a.m. until noon daily. Partners in Preservation Holiday Tour

Partners In Preservation will host the fifth annual Holiday Tour of Bs, Churches and the George. F. Boyer Museum in Wildwood. This is a great way to start the holiday season. Each location is different and even if you have visited before, you may find something new that has been addedperhaps at the museum where there is always something new. Sit down and go through the many scrapbooks on entertainers, boardwalk history, parks, even fires on the island. Maybe you will find your house or a family member. Just a half of a block from the museum is Holly Beach B This English style B has a beautiful model train and village to delight all ages. First Baptist Church, one of Wildwoods oldest churches, was started as a Carousel and features beautiful woodwork and windows. New on the tour this year is Sea Gypsy B, a restored Victorian for a romantic getaway or the whole family. They have rooms, suites and apartments. St. Simeon's Church started at Pacific and Maple Avenues exhibits beautiful stained glass windows which were moved to their new location when it was built at 2500 Central Ave. This church has the oldest pipe organ in the county. Avair House and Tea Room where the old meets the new. Partners In Preservation with East Lynne Theatre hosts a Victorian Tales and Tea on their wrap around porch every summer. Candlelight Inn, another restored Victorian with many original furniture pieces, but with all the modern conveniences. Summer Nites has a new twist. Here you go back to the 50s dcor right down to their diner-like kitchen. See Elvis and Marilyn Monroe rooms, plus many more. Start your tour at any site. A wrist band will be provided for a $10.00 donation collected at the first stop and is good for all places. Children 12 and under are free. 'Pinch the GrYnch' Boardwalk 5K Run

This holiday boardwalk 5K run and 1 mile walk is fun for all ages! Event starts at 10 a.m. - rain or shine - with registration at 9 a.m. inside the Wildwoods Convention Center. Participants are encouraged to dress in festive holiday outfits. The race route will run south on the Wildwoods Boardwalk to Cresse Avenue, make a turn around and head north to 21st Street. Another turn will lead runners back to the Convention Center where refreshments will be served and prizes awarded.
