During the Aug. 12 Board of Commissioners meeting, Stocks was called before a room filled with residents and co-workers to receive a plaque from the city.

Chief Stocks does an extraordinary job,? said Commissioner for Public Safety Tony Leonetti. He keeps the department humming. He has the respect of the lifeguards and with that comes their willingness to be the best. We have safest and best beaches. Chief Stocks and the Wildwood Beach Patrol are second to none.?

In thanking commissioners, Stocks said he wanted to take the opportunity to thank the beach patrol s partners in safety, the Wildwood Fire Department and Wildwood Police Department, who also do an outstanding job.?
